▶ About This Opportunity

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the entire development life cycle of software solutions and manage complex projects with significant bottom-line impact.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop an IT strategy and roadmap that delivers compelling capabilities for the client community, enabling them to achieve their goals.
  • Assist in implementing the best technical design and approach for new product development.
  • Promote best practices for software development and documentation, ensuring designs meet requirements and deliver high-quality work.
  • Ensure project delivery within specified timelines and scope.
  • Manage development projects by prioritizing tasks, planning projects and features, handling stakeholder relationships, and tracking external commitments.
  • Lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines while staying within budget constraints.
  • Facilitate technical discussions and drive solutions to meet business needs, aligning with the strategic technology vision.
  • Continuously strive for operational excellence and enhance the reliability of high-scale systems.
  • Support the professional growth of direct reports in technical skills and career advancement.
  • Manage a remote development team.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in managing medium to large, complex projects.
  • Experience leading high-performance teams using design thinking, agile, and scaled agile methodologies to develop innovative and desirable products and services.
  • Proficiency with Cloud services and technologies, with experience in implementing cloud-native applications.
  • 7+ years of combined working experience with Java, Spring, Javascript, Python, NodeJS and/or Go/Rust.
  • Advanced knowledge of web development and database design, including experience with modern frameworks like Angular or React.
  • Experience with RESTful Services and CI/CD automation preferred.
  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze, propose, and implement timely, cost-effective, and quality solutions.
  • Strong facilitation skills to lead technical discussions and drive solutions to meet business needs.
  • Experience designing or working with highly available and reliable systems, including technical design and architecture.
  • Proficient in risk identification, tracking, and mitigation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of Agile Framework.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of experience as a Developer (preferably with Java/Full stack experience).
  • 3+ years of experience as a technical manager.
  • 3+ years of direct people management experience.
