For full-time employees who have been with 7‑Eleven for three months, 7‑Eleven will pay the full cost of your provincial health care premiums in provinces that charge premiums. Employees may also elect family coverage and the additional cost will be deducted from the paycheque. In other provinces (such as Manitoba and Ontario) a payroll tax is paid on the employee’s behalf at the commencement of employment.
Extended Health Care
Full-time employees are eligible to purchase extended health care coverage for themselves and their eligible dependents after six months of employment.
Full-time employees are eligible to purchase dental coverage for themselves and their eligible dependents after six months of employment.
Part-time employees are eligible to purchase dental coverage for themselves after one year of employment.
Retirement Savings Plan/Deferred Profit-Sharing Plan
Retirement Savings Plan/Deferred Profit-Sharing Plan is available to all employees after one year of employment. The Plan allows you to save for retirement on a pre-tax basis. If you choose to participate in the Retirement Savings Plan, you will also be eligible to receive discretionary company contributions into the Deferred Profit Sharing Plan.
Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment
Basic Term Life insurance is available at no cost to all employees upon hire. Full-time employees may also purchase optional term life insurance for themselves and their eligible dependents after six months of employment. Full-time employees may also purchase Accidental Death and Dismemberment (AD&D) for themselves after six months of employment.
The company offers paid time off for holidays, vacation, sick time, jury duty and bereavement.
7‑Eleven offers short-term disability to all full-time and part-time employees after 3 months of employment. Long Term Disability is offered to all salaried employees after 1 year of employment.
Employee Assistance Program
The EAP is available at no cost to all employees upon hire and no enrollment is required. The EAP is a voluntary, confidential counseling and information service that employees and their family members can access to help with a wide range of personal issues.
All employees are eligible for educational reimbursement after one year of employment. Pre-approved courses will be reimbursed at 90% for tuition and books upon successful completion.
