The Manager of Strategic Planning will be a key partner in shaping the strategic narrative of 7-Eleven and supporting executive leadership in driving growth and reinforcing market leadership. This role centers on transforming complex business performance, market trends, and strategic initiatives into executive-, board-, and stakeholder-ready narratives that inform decision-making and inspire action.

Working across functions, the Manager will synthesize internal and external insights into actionable recommendations, executive communications and presentation materials that support strategic decision-making and stakeholder alignment.

The role requires exceptional ability to translate executive discussions and complex business topics into clear, compelling storylines and presentation materials for senior leadership, Board members, and key stakeholders.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Executive Presentation Development: Partner with senior leadership to shape, structure, and translate strategic discussions, business priorities, and complex topics into presentations for senior leadership and the Board.
• Strategic Storyline Development: Identify key messages, structure complex business issues, and develop persuasive storylines that support leadership communication and decision-making.
• Executive Communications & Decision Support: Develop executive briefing materials, strategic recommendations, and discussion documents that support leadership decision-making and alignment around key business priorities.
• Strategic Planning Support: Support strategic planning initiatives through analysis of business performance, market trends, and strategic priorities, translating insights into actionable recommendations for leadership.
• Cross-Functional Strategic Partnership: Partner with business units and functional leaders to align priorities, shape strategic narratives, and support the communication of key business objectives.
• Market & Competitive Insights: Analyze industry trends, competitive dynamics, consumer trends, and other market developments to identify opportunities, risks, and key insights that inform strategic planning.
• Executive & Stakeholder Presentations: Support the development of selected presentations for investors, executive leadership, Board, and external stakeholders, ensuring clear and consistent communication of the company's strategy and performance.

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 5+ years

YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 2+ years

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Executive Presentation Development: Advanced PowerPoint skills, including storyline development, information hierarchy, visual communication, and executive presentation design.
• Strategic Problem Structuring: Ability to structure ambiguous business issues, identify key messages, and develop recommendations that support executive decision-making.
• Executive Storytelling: Exceptional ability to synthesize complex topics into clear, concise, and compelling executive-level narratives.
• Business Acumen: Strong understanding of internal business processes, strategic priorities, and performance drivers.
• Analytical Skills: Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify insights, and develop data-driven business recommendations.
• Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of financial metrics.
• Executive Presence & Stakeholder Management: Ability to work effectively with senior executives, navigate ambiguity, and influence stakeholders through clear communication and sound judgement.
• Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively across multiple teams and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Industry Experience: Experience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or strategic planning roles, preferably within retail, restaurants, consumer products, or other consumer-facing industries.
• Leadership Experience: Experience leading projects, mentoring team members, or managing cross-functional initiatives. Education: Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Finance, Economics, or a related field; MBA preferred.
