Senior QA Analyst - Mobile Application

You will join a multidisciplinary Agile team of product managers, designers, engineers, and other technology professionals. You will help validate iOS and Android applications, including React Native experiences, across supported devices, operating-system versions, network conditions, and release environments.

The successful candidate is comfortable adapting testing depth and approach to mobile product risk. You will help teams identify risk early, improve test coverage, write traceable tests in Zephyr, validate mobile integrations, and deliver reliable applications to customers and business users.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

• Plan and prioritize mobile application testing activities across projects, releases, and supported device/OS combinations.
• Perform manual mobile testing, including functional, regression, smoke, integration, exploratory, installation, upgrade, interruption/resume, permissions, offline/online, push-notification, localization, accessibility, and network-condition testing.
• Write, organize, execute, and maintain detailed mobile test cases in Zephyr Scale; ensure tests are clear, repeatable, traceable to requirements, and updated as features change.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated mobile test suites using Appium and other appropriate mobile automation frameworks.
• Use JavaScript and TypeScript, or comparable scripting languages, to create efficient, reliable, and maintainable automation scripts.
• Apply test design patterns such as the Page Object Model to improve automation maintainability.
• Prepare automation scripts and troubleshoot mobile automation framework, simulator, emulator, device, or execution issues.
• Integrate automated mobile tests into CI/CD pipelines and support continuous integration, continuous testing, and release quality gates.
• Review mobile requirements, user stories, technical specifications, and design documents to identify testability concerns, quality risks, and coverage needs.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, product managers, developers, and technical leads to create mobile test strategies, plans, cases, and acceptance criteria.
• Validate iOS, Android, and React Native applications across supported devices, operating-system versions, screen sizes, and form factors.
• Use Browser Stack to execute mobile tests across supported real devices, browsers, operating systems, and device configurations; review session results and capture evidence for defects and release decisions.
• Test mobile integrations with APIs, authentication, backend services, analytics, payments, and push notifications as applicable.
• Identify, isolate, document, and track defects in JIRA; include device, OS, build, environment, logs, screenshots, video, and reproducible steps where appropriate.
• Monitor quality-assurance metrics and process results and communicate release risks and test status clearly.
• Keep Zephyr test assets, test documentation, and release evidence current; provide detailed test results and reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to increase mobile testing efficiency, effectiveness, and coverage.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, retrospectives, backlog refinement, and other Agile ceremonies.
• Manage competing priorities, meet project deadlines, and work effectively both independently and collaboratively.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 3+ years

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Demonstrated experience testing iOS and Android applications across multiple devices, operating-system versions, and release environments.
• Required: hands-on experience using Browser Stack or a comparable cloud-based device-testing platform.
• Required: hands-on experience writing, organizing, and maintaining test cases in Zephyr Scale or a similar test-management tool.
• Experience with mobile automation using Appium or a comparable framework.
• Working knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript; basic scripting skills are required.
• Experience with manual testing methods, including functional, regression, smoke, integration, exploratory, compatibility, and interruption/resume testing.
• Experience creating reproducible defect reports and supporting root-cause analysis.

*Position is onsite and based in Irving TX.
