Food Center Shipper/Receiver
As a Food Center Shipper/Receiver, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of goods, maintaining inventory accuracy, and upholding food safety standards. As a shipper you’ll be responsible for preparing and dispatching finished food products. The receiver is responsible for accepting raw materials and supplies for food manufacturing.

Your day-to-day:
- Receive products from approved suppliers, inspecting shelf-life, quality, quantity, and temperature
- Check truck conditions for cleanliness and temperature compliance
- Unload and organize materials in designated storage areas (frozen, dry goods, refrigerated)
- Follow allergen policy and inventory rotation procedures (FIFO)
- Prepare pallets for shipping and move trays using hand trucks or dollies
- Verify bills of lading and invoices for accuracy
- Operate high stackers and pallet jacks
- Maintain cleanliness and order in storage, picking, and packing areas
- Record truck temperatures, tray counts, and pallet details during shipments
- Collaborate respectfully with team members and other departments
- Participate in regular food safety and equipment training
What you bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience in shipping, logistics, or warehouse operations
- Similar experience with documentation/record keeping
- Forklift license an asset
- Ability to operate fax machine, pallet/power jack, forklift or other warehouse equipment
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs consistently and work in cold and fast paced environment
