▶ About This Opportunity

  • This position will require travel on the west coast and being near a major airport would be helpful
  • Develop a market specific Project Management Plan (PMP) to assimilate new stores from deal approval to change in control. This includes managing the functions of initiating, planning, executing, monitor & controlling and closure for interior and exterior scope of work.
  • Responsible to approve all change orders with a defined spending authority, manage direct-report new store Construction Managers, multiple cross functional teams, governmental agencies and numerous outside professional firms and suppliers required to support new store openings.
  • Develop and implement improvement process plans and processes based on data analysis of cost, time and quality trends.
  • Maintains full internal transparency on contractor costs, compliance and progress through electronic project management information system.
  • Works directly with the executive representative from the PM firm to quantify and manage risks.
  • Resolve any issues with charges, compliance and or performance.
  • Works with appropriate internal individuals or department (i.e. Legal, Real Estate, Financial Planning) to resolve issues that require further escalation. Assess, evaluate and develop business cases scenarios critical to achieving ROI Represents the Construction department at Senior Management Steering Committee meetings.
  • Keeps Senior Managers informed of issues requiring escalation.
  • Conducts meetings and makes presentations on Construction related issues and topics as appropriate.
  • Education: Bachelors/4 Year Degree, PMP.
  • Construction experience 
  • Experience: 5-8+ years
  • Strong management experience including managing external partners (General Contractors, developers)
  • Strong analytical skills to understand trends, opportunities and root cause analysis.
  • Communication skills necessary to manage internal and outsourced resources.
  • Strong tactical and problem solving skills and ability to negotiate solutions.
  • Thorough working knowledge of Project Forum, building and sign permitting and collaborative team building during project reviews.
$99,248 - $141,784

The hourly or salary range is the range 7-Eleven in good faith believes is the range of compensation for this role at the time of this posting. The Company may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. No amount is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable under the terms and conditions of the applicable policies and plans. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, long-term incentive compensation, benefits, or any other form of compensation and benefits that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
