Summary:
As the Associate Sourcing Manager, you will partner with the IT & Digital leadership team and functional spend owners to deliver improved cost and service levels. You will work on improving processes and systems to enable improved speed to execution while developing and driving enterprise-wide spend leverage strategies, including strategic supplier development, to act as a trusted advisor. Functionally responsible for supporting Sourcing Managers and ensuring compliance with 7-Eleven sourcing policies and processes as well as 7-Eleven’s Code of Conduct for ethical and legal business practices. The position will report to the Sr. Manager of Strategic Sourcing.


Responsibilities:

• Partner with the IT & Digital leadership team, Directors and above to develop and execute sourcing strategies that support global IT business requirements
• Executes 7-Eleven sourcing processes which include strategic planning, scoping, bidding, contract execution, compliance, and supplier management activities for assigned categories.
• Lead/support supplier sourcing activities for the IT & Digital category, specific activities include:
• Data collection and spend analysis.
• Market Research
• The RFx process
• Proposal evaluation
• Negotiations
• Contracting
• Vendor Dispute resolution
• Continuous Process improvement
• Deliver consistent year-over-year savings by leveraging over $600M addressable North America IT & Digital spend.
• Strong expertise in Informatics and Cloud technologies, with hands-on experience negotiating SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS contracts.
• Develop and advance professional procurement talent.
• Ability to support legal in key contract negotiations such as pricing, performance measures, and breach of contract remedies and termination options.
• Negotiate business terms with IT vendors and partners (large and small), to minimize risk and maximize price efficiencies.
• Solid understanding of a wide array of IT contract forms including SaaS, Cloud, Software licensing, Software maintenance, MNDA, MSA, DPA & SOW's.
• Participate in cross-functional discussions with business managers, Legal, Risk Management, and other impacted organizations to coordinate 7-Eleven sourcing activities. Demonstrate ability to build and analyze financial models to evaluate proposal scenarios and present recommendations in a clear and concise format.
• Must be able to create and maintain documentation, in adherence with 7-Eleven sourcing policies, to meet internal and external audit requirements.

• Computer skills should include proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience working with Access, Visio, MS Project, and SAP/Oracle is also desired.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Education: bachelor’s 4 Year Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or Operations.
• 3+ years of relevant working experience required, with preferred experience in IT negotiations.

Preferred Experience:

•Procurement or strategic sourcing experience & supplier knowledge, materials management.
• Experience drafting, editing, and negotiating all agreement types, including Master Agreements, SOW’s, Addenda, Change Orders, Sales Orders, and Technology agreements (SaaS, End User License, Subscription, Cloud Services, Managed Services, Support Agreements, etc.)
• Ability to work well with both customers and suppliers, in a fast-paced, self-directed environment.
• Showcase negotiation experience and skills required.
• A clear understanding or drive to learn software, hardware & services procurement procedures. (i.e., renewal strategies, volume discounts, prorating, co-terming licenses, rate cards, MSP versus contingent.).
• Maintain strategic mindset in all aspects of the role.
• Oracle Purchasing and / or Other Sourcing tools is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, understanding of legal aspects, negotiating skills, purchasing terminology, cost analysis, and legal compliance regulations.
