▶ About This Opportunity
The Transportation Scheduler will work cross-functionally and manage multiple carriers for all fuel related activities to ensure safe and timely delivery to our 7-Eleven retail stores.
- Monitor and manage daily dispatch plans with each carrier to achieve optimal store inventory targets
- Freight rate management
- Coordinate with the Fuels Product Scheduler to analyze and communicate optimal supply point to the carrier
- Assist with loading issues at the terminal and ensure resolution
- Assist with emergency related issues caused by a driver during a delivery and ensure appropriate action for remediation
- Work closely with Environmental Compliance to ensure environmental matters are referred to environmental personnel in a timely manner
- Manage and communicate store fuels related activities on by store basis (Store opening and closing, Re-Brand/Re-Model, TOS, and Re-tanks)
- Manage and support day to day operations and assist with daily delivery reconciliation within KeyVu
- Manage, track and communicate all fuels related maintenance issues
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree and/or 4 years previous Transportation, Fuel Operations or Fuel Accounting related experience preferred
- Customer service oriented
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Process improvement capabilities and problem-solving skills
- Strong analytical skills, to include variance detection and trend analysis
- Decision-making skills
- Strong sense of urgency and accountability
