JOB SUMMARY:

Are you a proven communications leader with a passion for people, strategy, and great results? The 7-Eleven Corporate Communications team is looking for a strategic communications leader to oversee the best-in-class Operations Communications team in producing impactful and timely communications for Stores and Field Operations teams that unite our family of brands.

As the Manager of Operations Communications, you’ll take the lead on building a communications strategy that engages Franchisees, Corporate Store Leaders, and Field Operations teams through providing streamlined and influential communications that support driving sales and traffic to stores.

This role is a centralized voice with scope in both Strategic and Operations communication platforms. You’ll lead the development and execution of organization-wide communications plans and creative initiatives that contribute to the awareness & engagement of 7-Eleven employees & leadership. And you’ll guide a powerhouse group of communication professionals to bring our corporate strategy to life through creative, fun, and inspiring ways of working and thinking. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Lead a team of high-performing communicators and storytellers.

  • Define and set clear goals and KPIs for the team that sets the standard for the quality of work needed to effectively communicate company priorities to stores.

  • Create annual communications strategy for 13,000 Franchise and Corporate Store Leaders leveraging audience segmentation and operations understanding.

  • Work directly with senior leaders and key strategic partners to provide counsel and communications support that strengthens our business strategy.

  • Drive the ideation, design and implementation of compelling communication plans and campaigns across a variety of platforms that resonate with and positively impact operations.

  • Oversee multiple workstreams simultaneously to ensure deadlines/budgets are met and that communications plans are aligned to company goals.

  • Guide best-in-class operations communications channel management of our email platforms, company intranet and more, including providing direction to our Video team and Operations Readiness teams.

  • Manage the continuous improvement of communications processes and guidelines to ultimately streamline how we work and maximize our productivity outputs.

  • Key strategic influencer proactively working to elevate the value proposition of Corporate Communications to the organization.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree

YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 6+ years

YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: 2+ years

SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Proven leadership experience with an ability to manage an internal team as well as key Operations stakeholders

  • Experience in translating business objectives into integrated communication and/or creative strategies and tactics that drive business performance

  • Advanced level project management and C-Suite collaboration experience

  • Proven presentation skills and comfortability in taking complicated frameworks/processes and presenting in compelling way to stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication, storytelling ability, presentation, advanced writing and editing skills

  • Knowledge of SharePoint and mass communication platforms, i.e., Poppulo, Zipline

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft office suite

  • Previous QSR, Retail or Franchisee experience a plus

  • Preferred knowledge of AP style, agency management, Social Media monitoring and response
