JOB TITLE: Manager, Software Engineering

DUTIES: Manage a team of technical resources with deep knowledge in Standalone Modules and Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) administration activities. Lead complex integration projects with multiple vendors partners and deliver the program on time within budget. Develop integration roadmaps for the enterprise as an Oracle Data Integrator using ODI deployed as part of Oracle Business Intelligence Applications (Oracle BIA). Manage and work with team members across multiple geographic locations with knowledge in Business Intelligence (BI) Apps Load Plan. Analyze, review and alter programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements; write or design new basic programs. Lead both functional and technical aspects of the business; translate business requirements to solution design and technical implementation. Participate in requirements gathering, analysis, low-level design, development, independent unit testing and peer review for new developments. Design, review, implement and optimize data integrations across various systems including oracle database and file based transformations. Implement projects end to end in Oracle Data Integrator 12C. Work with multiple source/target systems such as Oracle, XML files, complex files, flat files and PL/SQL tables. Use database design and relational and dimensional data modeling skills including Oracle. Write complex queries, stored procedures in PL/SQL. Work extensively on reviewing the architecture and providing recommendations to fulfil project needs. Responsible for execution of the projects roadmap and manage entire project lifecycle from strategy planning to tactical activities with more focus on technical requirements of the project. Responsible for functions, packages, triggers, stored procedures, and SQL queries. Interact with business user to gather and document business requirements, analyze impact, propose resolutions by coordinating with business and IT Team members. Coordinate with offshore team to deliver the artifacts on time to meet the project time line. Work closely with Technical/Business Team and all other project stakeholders to provide strategic quality assurance solutions for new platform migrations. Partner with product vendor to finalize the custom solutions and explain the as-is system/process for each of the functional/technical modules to the product vendor in-order to provide the to-be system. Drive issue resolutions end to end, from understanding the process/solution on the Oracle Data Integration and its inbound/outbound targets. Implement configuration in the lower environment and assist in testing/User Acceptance Training. Identify and proactively solve problems; perform full Agile/Scrum methodology and ensure adoption of practices and principles.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 6 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Team Lead, Oracle Data Integrator, Software Engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 6 years with the following: Oracle SQL; Oracle Integration; Oracle Database including writing SQL queries; developing PL/SQL codes; and performance tuning. In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, the employer will accept an additional 2 years of experience in the above skill sets. Experience therein to include: 5 years in the following: Oracle Database Integration, Complex File Topology; Exposure to CDC/Journalizing implementations, SCD1, SCD2 and customizing knowledge modules; Data Warehouse Concepts; BI Apps Load Plan; WebLogic Administration; ODI Performance Tuning & Optimization; Unix Shell Scripting; Programming Language PL/SQL or Java; other utilities including TOAD, SQL Developer or SOAP UI; and cloud technologies; and 2 years in the following: leading a team of technical and integration engineers.
