Senior Marketing Specialist - Influencer and Brand Collaborations

JOB SUMMARY:
This role is responsible for driving cultural relevancy, discoverability, earned and organic reach and engagement with the 7-Eleven family of brands through the planning and activation of influencer campaigns, brand partnerships, social and merch collaborations and vendor partner amplification. The role leads influencer social strategy, planning and execution in support of key marketing initiatives throughout the year, as well as culture-led brand partnerships, collaborations and reactive cultural opportunities.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead all influencer campaigns (both planned and ad hoc) for 7-Eleven, Slurpee, Speedway and Laredo Taco Company brands, including: lead calls with agencies, write creative briefs based on business priorities, work with agencies and vendors to vet and approve influencer and partner selection, concepts, and content on behalf of the brand, follow up with agencies and vendors 2 weeks after live date for all reporting metrics and continually keep internal tracker updated to quantify EOY totals, and present influencer reporting to cross-functional teams.
- Lead all culture-first brand collaborations, including campaign development, production, launch, and rollout across organic social, 7Collection apparel drops, experiential activations and branded integrations.
- Lead vendor partner amplification plans, including: criteria for vendor program participation, strategy and recommended plan/approach, manage ongoing conversations with vendors, guide vendor shoots with watchouts and recommended approach for 7E amplification, review all content and share with internal team for approvals, communicate plans with operations and larger marketing team for awareness and/or amplification across owned channels.
- Lead agencies in data-capture and reporting for all influencer and partnership campaigns, including dashboard creation and optimization, social analysis and internal socialization. Create high-level recap decks to share with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Work closely with Operations team to approve stores for social content shoots and influencer shoots. Manage approved store tracker. Connect store team with influencer or content creator to ensure production alignment.
- Lead agencies in development of social strategy and campaign content supporting partnership campaigns.
- Social POC for all on-site partnership events and activations - sometimes over the weekend or late night (5-10% travel for shoots and activations as needed). Approve partner content real-time. Capture live content as needed. Post to social channels and engage/share real-time.
- Work with legal team and agencies to ensure all influencer and partner content abides by FTC requirements and standards, including all necessary disclosures.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Bachelors / 4 yr degree
YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: 7+ yrs
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Social Media-savvy in all major platforms, specifically Meta (Instagram and Facebook), TikTok and X (including proficient knowledge in platform functionality, content best-practices, trends, comfortable with gen-z slang and "social" speak, and creative content ideas)
- Ideally a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience leading influencer marketing campaigns
- Ideally a minimum of 3-5 years’ experience leading brand partnerships or collaborations
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and excellence.
- Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with key stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and vendor partners.
- Ability to proactively identify problems, gaps in process or opportunities for enhancement, and provide recommendations for a solution.
- Experience with the following Mar Tech platforms preferred, but not required:
- Sprinklr (social listening)
- Trello (social calendarization and planning)
- Workfront (creative approvals)
- Meta Business Suite (social management)
- Smartsheets (project management and tracking)
