JOB TITLE: Senior Software Developer

DUTIES: Lead end-to-end development of Android applications, with a focus on customer-facing and E-Commerce solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features and enhancements. Mentor and guide junior developers, fostering a culture of code quality, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Partner with Product, Quality Assurance, and Cloud Engineering teams to ensure digital products are functional, secure, and aligned with business goals. Continuously evaluate and adopt new tools, technologies, and development practices to improve performance and productivity. Enhance app security by integrating third-party security SDKs and tools. Improve the app’s network layer to optimize API communication and backend integration. Refactor and modernize legacy codebases to align with current Android development standards. Integrate with third-party SDKs for Navigation, ID verification and User Activity Analytics. Work with cloud-based messaging and notification platforms such as Azure Notification Hub and AWS SNS. Enable API telemetry and performance monitoring through tools like New Relic and other observability solutions. Act as the Lead Maintainer for the Android codebase, ensuring it remains scalable, well-documented, and maintainable. Conduct thorough code reviews, enforcing standards for performance, readability, and reliability. Stay current with emerging trends, tools, and best practices in Android development and apply them proactively.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, and 7 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Developer, Software Engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 7 years in the following:
· Native Android Development;
· Leading Android projects from conception to launch;
· Kotlin, Java, Android SDK, and Android architecture components; and
· RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and mobile architecture patterns such as MVVM, MVI, or similar.
