▶ About This Opportunity

Solution Architect for warehousing and operations is responsible to elevate and modernize 7-Eleven’s warehousing and operations Technology solutions.  As a Solution Architect, you'll lead development of warehousing & operations technology capabilities that will not only transform the business but will shape our digital supply chain future. Product managers will define product strategy, develop, launch, and enhance products and services that drive our business forward. You’ll work closely with our software teams to define product requirements and coordinate resources from key stakeholders. You'll also be responsible for identifying and tracking KPIs as you build these amazing experiences. The ideal candidate is a highly organized individual with a passion for user experience and professional experience building impactful and meaningful customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and design the software architecture for projects, including selecting appropriate technologies, frameworks, and patterns. Design a blueprint for the solution based on customer requirements and available technologies.
  • Develop code; write tests; Write code to enforce standards for engineers so that scalability, performance and security won’t be missed at the initial stage.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and address their needs and requirements. Ensure that the software system is scalable, maintainable, and secure. Clarify the requirements with the development teams.
  • Evaluating technical trends and provide recommendations for technology and architecture to meet business objectives.
  • Ability to deep dive of any critical task with hands on, in any of the open technology stack
  • Create and maintain documentation for the software solution architecture.
  • Participate in code quality, code reviews, and provide necessary feedback
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to software development teams.
  • Understand/guide the project development teams for the overall project activities.
  • Identify and address any technical risks or challenges. Ensure that the software architecture adheres to industry best practices and standards
  • Work with Business stakeholders, customers, Enterprise Architects, Engineers, and development teams to align the solution architectural direction.
  • Ensure that common technology, design practices, and infrastructure are used when applicable; and facilitate the reuse of code, components, and proven patterns; Influence common modelling, design, and coding practices.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Hands-on experience in architecture and designing. Proven track record of delivering futuristic mission critical applications.
  • Hand-on experience in development using Java, Node JS and Angular/React JS is a big plus.
  • Strong knowledge of software architecture principles, patterns, and best practices.
  • Hands on experience in distributed system architecture, microservices and event driven development.
  • Hands-on experience in web services (REST, SOAP, WSDL etc.),
  • Experience in both SQL Database such as Oracle MySQL, PostgreSQL etc. as well as NoSQL DB (Cassandra preferred)
  • Hands-on experience in Maven/Gradle, Version control (Git), Kubernetes, Docker, CI/CD and any cloud platform (Azure preferred)
  • Hands on experience in Unified Modelling Language (UML) to describe systems to elaborate system(s) easily and quickly.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven mindset.
  • Knowledge of industry best practises and emerging trends in retail supply chains technologies.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering.
  • 8+ years of full stack application development experience using Java, React JS/Angular and NodeJS
  • 5+ years of strong experience in Relational Databases, Oracle, SQL, PostgreSQL, ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate) and NoSQL (Cassandra, Mongo) experiences.
  • 3+ years of solid hands-on experience in Microservices architecture, Domain Driven Design (DDD) approach and Event Driven Architecture.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying solutions in cloud platform on Azure or AWS services.
  • 3+ years of experience developing with large microservice-based architectures, container orchestration frameworks: Kubernetes/Amazon EKS/ Azure AKS.
  • 3+ years of strong work experience in message streaming platform like Kafka, Rabbit MQ.
  • Experience in CI/CD DevOps - Jenkins/Docker/Ansible/Maven/Ant.
  • Understanding of MVC / MVVM / MVP structure and development patterns.
  • Knowledge of high-quality professional software engineering practices for agile software development cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and deployment.
  • Experience in partnering with product and program management teams.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Mentoring the team members to meet the stakeholder's needs and holding them accountable for high standards of delivery.
  • Experience in working on Warehousing and Operations Technology Solutions in Retail Industry is a plus.
