JOB TITLE: Sr. Solution Architect IT

LOCATION: Irving, TX

DUTIES: Collaborate with internal and external partners to determine technical requirements for development and implementation of new systems and enhancements of existing systems. Ensure the technical needs of the business unit are met by facilitating steps using effective business process improvements. Work with stakeholders in the Corporate Business Systems organization and partner organizations to drive our operational planning. Develop solution specifications and detailed requirements for all IT projects and requests. Facilitate sessions with stakeholders to determine technical requirements. Manage and document all business requirements for project work in conjunction with related Subject Matter Experts. Initiate and manage risk assessment process to completion, including risk documentation and risk mitigation controls. Establish systems specifications and objectives based on business requirements and cost effectiveness. Develop test plans, coordinate software testing with internal partners, and complete testing when appropriate. Ensure all duties including, but not limited to, requirements, test cases and test plans, are completed in accordance with all required documentation. Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure customer needs are met by reviewing requirements, status updates and associated issues. Keep abreast of technology, customer needs and industry-related trends. Perform risk and business impact analysis for proposed enhancements and changes to business systems. Advise and guide business units in the process of developing system enhancements, ideas and work requests. Capture potential benefits to assist with prioritization. Identify system requirements and evaluate new applications. Document interfaces between new and legacy systems. Maintain requirement details in the appropriate ticketing system (Service Now) as needed. Collaborate closely with IT Architects to design optimal technical solutions to meet business needs while aligning with IT strategies.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 8 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or as a Software Engineer, Supply Chain Manager, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 8 years of experience in the following: supply chain information technology, inventory and warehouse management, Master Data Management, Cloud Architecture Transformation, using SQL, and translating business requirements into systems and integration architecture.
