Talent Program Manager

This position will be responsible for managing, driving, implementing, and developing critical talent management initiatives to strengthen our talent and accelerate 7-Eleven’s cultural and business transformation. This may include projects and programs related to performance management, HRP (Human Resource Planning), succession planning and internal talent pools to inform decision-making, improving efficiency and usability of talent management solutions.
The successful candidate will be self-motivated, with a strong sense of urgency and drive to deliver results, while possessing high levels of resiliency, adaptability, and seasoned judgement. Being equipped with the relational skills and organizational savvy needed to work effectively within and across functions to gain stakeholder buy-in and drive meaningful business impact will also be critical to success.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Manage and support talent management programs such as full cycle HRP (goal-setting, career & development planning, mid-year performance, and year-end process) performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, and other talent management deliverables.
- Develop tools and/or resources to support and enable leaders to effectively evaluate, upgrade, manage, develop and retain talent.
- Implement and manage talent management solutions designed to accelerate 7-Eleven’s cultural transformation.
- Develop and maintain information, run analytics and provide recommendations to inform decision making regarding talent review, succession planning and other talent management processes.
- Partner with HR Business Partners, other HR Departments and other stakeholders to create and implement tools, resources and training that help employees and managers understand and reap the benefits of Talent Management solutions.
- Partner with HRIS, Talent Acquisition, Compensation, and other teams to identify and drive improvements across Talent Management systems and processes.
- Proactively build strong relationships, buy-in, alignment, and support from the key stakeholders needed to ensure well-executed solutions that drive business results.
- Effectively anticipate and work through obstacles and resistance, communicating benefits and fostering the engagement in the programs and processes needed to strengthen our talent.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
EDUCATION: Bachelors/4 Yr Degree
YEARS OF RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE: 3+ years
YEARS OF MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE: NA
CERTIFICATIONS / LICENSES: NA
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- Graduate degree preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in Talent Management (or closely related discipline within Human Resources).
- Hands-on experience implementing, managing, or working closely with Workday.
- Proven success managing large projects, utilizing effective stakeholder management and full leverage of broad communication channels.
- Experience developing and deploying instructional materials and training (virtual or in-person) to support talent processes, programs, and/or tools.
- Successful experience implementing, managing, and improving solutions that contribute to the acceleration and success of a business/culture transition/transformation.
- Proven ability to initiate, own, and effectively execute talent programs and deliverables.
