Driver
Job ID 2020-104258- Delivery of goods and products to customers (stores) in a timely manner.
- Ensuring quality control of the products while minimizing damage.
- Accuracy in distribution of product to appropriate store
- General maintenance of vehicle
- Delivery of Food Centre finished products to stores as per schedule and routes
- Ensures mechanical and physical condition of trucks are consistent with provincial safety standards. Any problems with vehicle condition is immediately reported to Food Centre manager.
- Performs routine daily maintenance checks on trucks.
- Loading and unloading of product to and from truck, ensuring accuracy of orders.
- Drives in a safe and defensive manner obeying provincial motor vehicle rules and regulations and maintaining drive relations in line with company public image.
- Friendly, courteous service
- Deliveries generally made on sunrise shift.
- Typically work a 4-day week of 10 – 12 hours each day
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Some high school plus 6 months related work experience or combination education and experience. Valid drivers license and clean driving record.
SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/TRAVEL:
Reading- High school minimum.
Writing- High school minimum.
Math- High School
Computer – N/A
Travel- Minimal – No unless weather conditions occur
PHYSICAL EFFORT/WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Very physical – lifting in and out of truck
- Re-organizing
- Balance of day spent driving
INNOVATION:
Because of routine, may simplify driving route. Become more efficient in packing and loading truck.
