JOB TITLE: QA Automation Engineer

LOCATION: Irving, TX

DUTIES: Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to validate the functionality, performance, and reliability of software applications across multiple platforms and environments. Create and execute automated test cases for web, mobile, and backend systems using tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Appium, or similar automation technologies. Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitLab CI, or equivalent platforms to ensure consistent test execution during software builds and deployments. Collaborate with software developers, QA analysts, DevOps engineers, and product teams to define test strategies, identify automation opportunities, and improve software quality. Perform non-functional, security and performance load testing of mobile applications using Android Studio and Xcode. Work with testing tools to validate both backend server side and client Side using Postman, JMeter, and Charles Proxy. Responsible for Test Suite Management using Zephyr, HP Quality Center/Application Lifecycle Management (HPQC ALM) and JIRA. Use database scripting language including SQL. Analyze system requirements, user stories, and technical specifications to create comprehensive test plans and automation scenarios. Conduct regression, functional, integration, and performance testing using automated frameworks to detect and report defects efficiently. Develop and maintain test data sets, and configuration files to support scalable and maintainable automation solutions. Implement and monitor test coverage metrics, track test execution results, and report on software quality using dashboards and reporting tools. Troubleshoot and debug automation failures, document root causes, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues promptly. Participate and contribute to testability design discussions, and advocate for best practices in test automation and software quality. Maintain documentation of automation tools, scripts, and test environments in compliance with company standards and audit requirements.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and 3 years of experience in the job offered or as a Quality Engineer and Test Engineer, or in a related/similar position. Experience therein to include 3 years of experience in the following: manual and automation testing of software applications, including Mobile and Web and applications; performing non-functional, security and performance load testing of mobile applications using Android Studio and Xcode; working with testing tools to validate both backend server side and client Side using Postman, JMeter, and Charles Proxy; Test Suite Management using Zephyr, HP Quality Center/Application Lifecycle Management (HPQC ALM) and JIRA; and using database scripting language including SQL.
